Detoxification of the body releases
toxins which cause acne?
According to Dr. James Balch, writer
of Prescriptions for Natural Cures. Detoxification helps in cleansing
ti body and ridding it of acne-causing poisons.
Dr. Balch states that using the
detoxification method may worsen your acne initially once you begin the
detoxification program because your skin is eliminating the toxins more
quickly than it usually does. But once the toxins are expelled from the
body, the skin should be clearer and the acne should be reduced or gone
entirely.
He recommends a three-day vegetable
detox diet that will quickly rid the body of toxic build-up. A variety
of vegetable and fruit drinks should be consumed in the three-day detox
diet - concentrating on using beets, apples, carrots (with the
heads/flowers still on them). Other green drinks like barley
grass, chlorella, wheatgrass and spirulina are believed to support the
acne cleanse very well.
Naturally cleansing the skin twice a
day is still recommended to clean dirt from the pores and skins surface.
