Eat the right foods for a clear
complexion:
Acne can be aggravated by eating
the wrong foods. Eating anti-inflammatory fruits and vegetables and
other anti-inflammatory food soucese can combat acne quickly.
One of the most important tips is to
eat your protein first! Check out these anti-acne meal plans that will
have your skin saying "thank you".
According to Dr. Perricone, this
anti-inflammatory diet will clear acne inflamed skin.
Wake Up:
Drink one 8 ounce glass of water after exercise.
Breakfast
- 2 egg omelet
- Green tea
- 8 ounce glass of water
- 1/4 cup of berries or cantaloupe
- 1/2 cup of cooked oatmeal
Add some flaxseeds to
the oatmeal. Oh, and make sure the oatmeal is instant.
Lunch
- 4 to 6 ounces of grilled salmon (sardines and
mackerel are also good choices)
- Romaine lettuce dressed with olive oil and
lemon (olive oil is a "good" fat.)
- Sliced cantaloupe and 1/4 cup of fresh berries
(any kind i.e., strawberries/blueberries)
- One 8 ounce glass of water
Snack
- Plain yogurt
- Apple
- Pumpkin seeds
- One 8 ounce glass of water
Dinner
- 4-6 ounces of your choice of protein (salmon,
turkeky, chicken...)
- Romaine lettuce dressed in olive oil and lemons
for added taste
- Mixed vegetables (broccoli or spinach -
anything green)
- Fruit (strawberries, an apple or other fruit on
the anti-inflammatory list)
- Water
- And of course... water
Snack:
Berries, protein, nuts like almonds (see the antiinflammatory food
list), water.
Try eating balanced
diets like the one above for added energy levels and for better,
clearer skin. Don't forget to eat in regular intervals throughout the
day. And eat your protein first!
