Vitamins play a huge role in fighting acne. I'll share with you a secret. There are two vitamins that can actually help combat acne.

In order to provide the essential acne fighting properties that the skin needs to ward off inflammation and bacteria, you need to have the right amount of vitamins in your body.

Zinc is linked to skin health because it actually enhances immune function. It also aids in reducing inflammation and helps promote healthy hormone levels. This is highly beneficial for woman menstruating or young adults experiencing puberty.

Zinc is also vital for the repair and growth of new healthy skin. But best of all, zinc can help heal and prevent acne breakouts.

Here are some foods that contain Zinc:

Sweet potatoes, Seafood, Cheese, Fish, Eggs, Grains, Meats, Nuts

Another strong acne fighting vitamin is Vitamin B6. Vitamin B6 helps to regulate hormone levels whereby controlling acne breakouts which are commonly triggered by hormonal changes due to menstruation, puberty and sometimes menopause. Other factors can also lead to hormonal changes but these are just a few.
